Hello March, goodbye February
Sunday, March 2, 2014 @ 1:50 AM | 0 Comment [s]
It's so scary seeing how quickly time has passed, the long awaited Chinese New Year is over, and March holidays are coming up. It feels as if 2014 has just started yesterday >< Anyway I'm so sorry for not being able to blog so often as promised, been caught up with school work and activities :( . Now that Common tests are over, I finally have the time to sit down and type what I want to.
School and personal life has been great, with ups and downs. Had my 2nd cry in school on Thursday, I'm starting to feel like a crybaby, help. Got my Amath results back, I was utterly disappointed with myself. Maybe I shouldn't have done such a last minute revision, maybe I should have cleared my doubts maybe... Lesson learnt, and mistake not to be made anymore.
1) Last meet-up with Leechin before she left for Aussie
Ate Korean BBQ @ Junction 10 for the first time, it was really yummy omg. Definitely going back there again! Her secondary school friends were present too, so it was kinda awkward and I felt out of place :X . Luckily I had her company. After that we went to her house, played cards ( I lost money ugh). Her friends left first, and I continued to accompany her. We camwhored hehe ( took like 40 photos??). Posting only the above because I like it the most out of all.
2) Chinese New Year performance
Spot me heheh. My last time wearing the costume and performing. Definitely treasure all the chances I've got to represent my CCA to be on stage. Looking back to the old times, I really enjoyed myself in this CCA ;) Got to learn how to play a music instrument which I really liked. Just that it was a pity I didn't get to learn to play more pieces.
3) Spring cleaning @ Eunos
Visited elderly in Eunos to help them with the cleaning of window grills and door gates somewhere in February. Was really looking forward to it, I thought it was meaningful :) A big thank you to Miss Ng for giving us this opportunity to help out and the great experience. Teamed up with Yasmine, Felicia and Arina. The elderly there were all so friendly and approachable! They offered us drinks and food, and insisted that we accept it even after our countless decline. Thank you :)) Ofcourse, photos are not to be missed during such events :D
With one of my favourite teachers, Miss Ng ^^
3) Class gathering at Mr Kok's house
Finally had a gathering with the class after a year, thanks to the invitation by Mr Kok to celebrate Chinese New Year at his place. He prepared pizza and steamboat for us ( I'm feeling hungry while typing this alrdy). Played cards with Mr Kok with BoSimChengWee (you'll figure out who they are later) haha. Dingjie came in and he ate up all our money ugh. Poor Sherman was sabo-ed by him and I recouped my losses thanks to him hahaha. Mr Kok played and sang along the guitar too~~ I think I'm officially a #kokster alrdy. Definitely felt that the class became more bonded! I really like it ^^
Our first class photo! Incomplete though, missing a few people who couldn't make it!
Tadahhh, behind me are BoSimChengWee!
Ohnoo I didn't know I was making to same pose. But here's me and my partner-in-action camwhoring using Aisleen's phone :P
4) Chinese New Year
This year's CNY wasn't as interesting. Okay well it has never been interesting in the first place?? Didn't go shopping for new clothes cos' CT was nearing. Well, so what if we wear old clothes right?
Painted my nails for CNY heheh :)
The original Yusheng.
Yusheng with biscuits added
Yusheng with biscuits, salmon and abalone added.
CAN YOU HEAR ME QUENCHING MY THIRST NOW?!
5) Celebrating Ms Law's birthday
So during one of our MT periods, we used it to celebrate our teacher's birthday in advance ^^. It was an idea suggested by Renyi hehe, where we all contributed $2 to buy her 2 cakes and some riceballs and chocolates. After that we cheered for Starran to perform their Nonono live hehe yayyy it was a great performance :D Made teacher sing 童话 too hehe. I myself was so touched by what the class had done I wanted to cry too omg. Got classmates to write birthday notes to teacher as suggested by Rachel, to which we placed it inside a box and gave it to her^^. 4 years with the class and Miss Law have been great. A big thank you to her for her teaching that allowed me to score an A1 for my MT O's. Hopefully I'll do well for HMT too :) Let's work hard tgt!
Alright, all these are probably the interesting things that happened during the time I didn't blog. Will take more photos and update it. Upcoming one's Sports Day ^^. Ending this post with lovely cupcakes!
YUMMMyummmm goodbye~~
Review, Reflect and Improve

These 3 words basically sums up this post. 2013 is coming to an end soon, I should look back and see if I've reached my aims. Subsequently, I'll be setting new resolutions for 2014-----a very important year for me.Below are the resolutions I've set for this year: 1. No last minute work/ assignments 2. Master guitar playing skills 3. Get myself an ukulele and learn 4. Improve my relationship with everyone 5. Learn to forgive and forget. 6. Gossip lesser (this is difficult okay hahaah) 7. MORE CLOTHES AND SHOESSSS 8. Get myself a Polaroid! It's so coool.. 9. Take more and nice photos with my EOS 650D! ♡ 10. Lastly, be a neater person! I definitely still do alot of last minute work. Need to improve in this area. And no, I haven't gotten a ukulele for myself and neither have I mastered guitar playing :( . Hopefully next year after O's! As for improving my relationship with everyone, I'll give it a yes and no. Yes because I got to know more about new friends and no because I've had strained relationship with some. Learning to forgive and forget is a difficult thing, but I think I kind of managed to excel in this area. Sometimes I might still remember the nasty thing that had happened, but let bygones be bygones. I definitely gossip lesser hahaha, in fact now I don't even bother to talk about things unrelated to me. I don't know why I used to say it was difficult?? Lots of my money were spent on clothes, and nowadays I even shop online oh god. And YAY I got myself a polaroid!!! A pastel pink one :) . I think I've made good use of my camera, snapping photos for my Cambodia and Hongkong trip this year and also during camps. Well, I think I'm still as messy as ever, but I can pack my things neatly! 2013 has been a year full of surprises, fun-filled and meaningful for me. I've got to become part of the Student Council Exco, had my opportunity to say my presidential speech as a nominee in front of the whole school, got to wear the school blazer, commanded the national anthem and pledge, pulled the school flag during national anthem. I also took part in the planning of the investiture and as a performer for Teachers' Day where all the Level 4 leaders danced together. We took part in the Level 4 camp and held the Level 3 camp by ourselves. We were also lucky to be able to attend prom as registration peeps. My leadership position has given me so many opportunities and experience I've never expected, and I'm really thankful for. I'm proud to say that I've never regretted my choices, because this journey has been wonderful. 2014 is very crucial, probably a life-changing year for me. It's my last year in school, hopefully it'll be a good one. My resolutions for 2014: 1) Get a job after O's I've always wanted to work during holidays, but it's either my parents don't allow or I'm packed with school activities. 2) Minimal quarrels, PEACE I really don't like quarrelling with anyone, hopefully I'll be too busy to quarrel with anyone in 2014. 3) Study hard and get good results Really hope for good results so that I can get into the school of my choice. But to do so, I definitely need to study well. 4) Blog at least once a month As much as I need to study, I think I shouldn't neglect my blog as well. Moreover, blogging helps to improve my English ( one of the reasons I've created this blog ). 5) Less distraction from phone Twitter, Instagram and Facebook etc always prevent me from concentrating on my studies. Hopefully I'll be able to resist these temptations! Alright, that's all I can think of now.
Hello 2014,
Macau Day 1
Wednesday, December 25, 2013 @ 2:05 AM | 0 Comment [s]
After so long, I'm finally willing to blog about my Macau/Hong Kong trip back from 12 December to 17 December! Our flight was at around 5am, so we reached the airport at about 3pm to check in our baggage and register. We thought we were actually quite early, but there was a queue already...what TT. After all the process of registering, we went to have our really early breakfast. Who even have breakfast this early really.
Ate at Killiney and I ordered wanton noodle :)
So we roamed about the airport, took pictures with some spongebob decorations and christmas tree then tadahhh, it's time for our flight! Dad, mum and bro sat together while I was seated behind my bro. I had a window seat, and sitting beside me was this cute little boy! The flight was approximately 3 hours 50 minutes long. We were served a meal again on the airplane, and I ordered omelette and orange juice. The omelette (with potatoes too) tasted surprisingly good but the orange juice was really bad so I didn't finish it. It was bitter. Pardon for no photos because I was too awkward to snap photos of my meal in front of strangers.
The screen on the airplane had running man so I decided to watch it. Used my own earpiece because I don't even know the earphones on the plane are used by how many people already. The little boy beside me then went " Why you don't want to use this? *points at the earphones* ". CUTEEE ( not a pedo)
So how can we not take picture of the sky out of the window while we're taking flights? Initially I was still kinda sad that I wouldn't be able to take pictures of the clouds because it's a midnight flight but hey, there's advantages taking midnight flight too :)
Aren't they beautiful? :) So unique as compared to the normal cloudy photos!
Touched down at Hong Kong and we had to take a ferry to reach Macau. We reached at about 10am, but the next ferry leaving for Macau was at 12pm. Poor us had to wait at the airport for 2hours. But no worries, I was actually watching The Heirs to kill time :) And we ate again at the airport....fatdieus
My Shrimp dumling noodles!
This is how the inside of the cruise looks like.
The duration was about 1 hour, so we slept all the way until we've reached Macau. Upon reaching, we took a shuttle bus to our hotel entrance. There are shuttle buses bringing people into respective hotels. I stayed at Hotel Lisboa. So after that we checked in, but we could only get one room first. The drinks inside the mini refrigerator were all free. There were Sprite, Coke, Ribena and etc. Where to find such good things? I really really like the hotel room in Macau, shall let pictures do the talking.
So grand looking aren't they? They even have a weighing scale in a bathroom, and the last picture is actually a dragon-like creature formed from tiles.
Placed all our luggages in the room and left for Zhuhai, China. We took a shuttle bus there, and basically we made really good use of the shuttle bus services as our source of transport. I thought there would be many things for me to buy, but I guess I anticipated too much. I got myself a pair of hearts dot shoes only :x
Visited City Of Dreams Hotel, it was really nicely decorated! Their Christmas tree is really nice, even their toilet sign is so special.
It was then time for dinner! We cabbed from the hotel to an eatshop Cheng Chang. Had to go there to try out water crab porridge which it was famous for.
Jeng jeng jeng! Here comes the porridge~~
Sotong and Cuttlefish balls!
Yummy broccoli with clams.
There's a last dish which was chicken. Didn't take a picture of it because I was eating already haha. The porridge was quite nice! Mum said it was too watery though. And I told her I though it was supposed to be water porridge at first because it was 水蟹粥. I didn't know it meant water crab instead of water porridge....so me.
Didn't stop eating here. We found Portuguese eggtarts! Me and bro bought 1 each. It was really nice, a must-try when you go Macau!
So my day ends here, I'll come back with Hongkong Day 1 soon (hopefully).
Before ending,
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :)
My hotel's christmas tree :)
We wish you a Merry Christmas
